The authorities did not explain this transfer between prisons, which comes after a court in La Paz requested on Friday afternoon that Áñez be transferred to a health clinic due to her state of health, but this request was revoked by the Attorney General's Office hours later.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The former interim president of Bolivia Jeanine Áñez was transferred early Saturday morning from Obrajes prison to Miraflores prison. "They took me out telling me that I was going to the South clinic," reported a local newspaper, which also shared images of the former president upon her arrival at the Miraflores prison.
