RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Peruvian traditional exports totaled US$2.957 billion in January 2021, marking a 10.6% expansion over the same month of 2020, mainly due to higher mining product prices, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported on Wednesday, March 17th.
January included, there was a year-on-year growth for fifth consecutive month.
Last January, fishery exports expanded 70.9%, followed by those from the mining (8.8%), and agricultural sectors (7.3%).
The BCR says that traditional export prices increased 23%, which were explained by higher prices of metals and fishmeal.
