Peruvian trade surplus reaches US$997 million in January 2021

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The trade balance registered a surplus of US$997 million in January 2021 —an amount US$704 million higher than that registered in the same month of 2020, the Central Reserve Bank has reported.

"In the first month of 2021, the exports balance amounted to US$4.26 billion, which represented an increase of 9.4% compared to January 2020 due to the increase in export prices," the BCR said in a report.
