WHO: Latin America About to Experience Worst Pandemic Moment

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday, April 22nd, that Latin America is about to experience the worst moment of the coronavirus pandemic, and that countries in the region should increase their virus detection capacity.

“The epicenter of the epidemic is moving from Europe to the Americas, which has given us time to prepare for what is to come,” said Cristian Morales, WHO and PAHO (Pan American Health Organization) representative in Mexico, during an online press conference.
