Two-Year-old Brazilian Girl Missing in River Between the U.S. and Mexico

The Haitian mother crossed from Mexico to the U.S., was arrested and said her 2-year-old daughter had vanished during the crossing.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - U.S. border patrol officers were searching for a two-year-old Brazilian girl who went missing in Rio Grande, which divides U.S. and Mexican territory, on Tuesday, July 2nd.

Late Monday, July 1st, a woman from Haiti was arrested after crossing the river from Mexico. She told the agents that she had lost her 2-year-old daughter, a Brazilian national, while crossing the waters.
