After Early Chaos and Lockdown, Fortaleza Records Declining Curves, Ends Covid-19 Peak

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In the past few days, the city of Fortaleza, Brazil's leading capital city in terms of mortality rate by Covid-19, recorded a drop in the number of hospitalizations, infections, and deaths from the disease and is now starting to drop from the plateau - the state of a continuing peak.

Last Sunday, June 7th, the capital of Ceará celebrated something that had not happened since the start of March: a 24-hour period with no hospitalizations of patients with SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome).

Up to Friday, June 12th, Fortaleza had recorded over 30,000 . . .
