Blast Kills Baker and Destroys Building in Minas Gerais

A massive explosion killed a 22-year-old baker and knocked down the bakery building where the victim worked in the city of Formiga, in the interior of Minas Gerais.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The accident was reported at dawn on Thursday, November 7th, at around 3 AM, when the worker, the only one present in the facilities, was preparing the oven to bake the loaves.

Leone Marcio Augusto was retrieved from under the rubble by a team from the Fire Department.

The Fire Department reported that the baker had his head and part of his chest crushed by the debris. The victim's body was also badly burned.
