RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released its population estimates today, August 28th. By July 1st, 2019, the reference date, Brazil had a total population of 210,147,125 people. The data related to individual states were published in yesterday's edition of the Federal Gazette.
On July 1st last year, the number was 208,494,900. The absolute population growth in one year was 1,652,225 people, representing an increase of 0.79 percent.
