Argentina surpasses 3.3 million cases and 70,500 covid deaths (May 16)

The occupancy rate of intensive care beds for all types of pathologies is 69.3% at the national level, but 75.4% if only Buenos Aires and its populous periphery are considered.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Argentina reported this Sunday 16,350 new cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, bringing the total number of positives to 3,307,285. At the same time, deaths rose to 70,522 after 270 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Argentina registered a daily record number of positives on April 16, with 29,472 infections, and a daily maximum of deaths on May 5, with 663 deaths.
