Although the moving average of cases and deaths shows certain stability, the medical and scientific community has warned about the imminent arrival of a third wave of the pandemic in the coming weeks, at a time when the country is experiencing a greater relaxation of the restriction measures by the states and municipalities.
The Ministry also reported that more than 15.2 million of those infected are already fully recovered from the disease in Brazil, while 1.13 million patients remain under medical care.
According to official figures, 45.5 million people have received the first dose of the anticovid vaccine and 20.8 million the second dose in this country with some 212 million inhabitants.
