Brazil administers record 2.2 million Covid vaccine doses in a day (June 17)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil administered a record 2,220,845 Covid-19 vaccine doses on Thursday, June 17, according to data gathered and released by the media outlet consortium, in what is the highest daily vaccination mark since the campaign began in January.

In total, 2,088,159 people were administered the first dose and 132,686 the vaccine booster, required to complete immunization.

Thus, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose against Covid-19 reached 60,381,020, representing 28.51% of the Brazilian population.
