Despite the data, basic health care measures such as mask use and social distancing remain essential for protecting against Covid. Prevention is all the more important considering the Delta variant, which has caused outbreaks in places with advanced vaccination campaigns.

On Thursday, July 15, 1,227,888 vaccine administrations were recorded. According to data from the state health secretariats, there were 727,747 first doses and 385,638 second doses. This figure also includes 114,503 single Janssen doses. Immunization data were updated in 24 states and in the Federal District.

The nationwide data, collected up to 8 PM, are the result of cooperation between Folha de S.Paulo, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo, and G1 to collect and disclose figures related to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The data are collected by the media consortium from the state health secretariats every day.
