Brazil overtakes Italy in Covid-19 mortality rate, now 11th worst in world

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil on Monday overtook Italy in the Covid-19 death rate, reported Italian News Agency (ANSA), based on data from Johns Hopkins University.

According to the data, Brazil has reached 205.98 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, against 205.75 deaths per 100,000 in the European country.

As a result, Brazil is placed 11th in the world ranking of proportional deaths, behind Hungary (298/100,000 inhabitants), Czech Republic (280.10), Bosnia and Herzegovina (272.07), San Marino (265.80), Montenegro (250.75), North Macedonia (249.44), Bulgaria (274.28), Moldova (226.37), Slovakia (223 . . .
