Brazil records 2,550 deaths and 73,380 new cases of Covid-19 in 24h (May 6)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil recorded on Thursday 2,550 deaths caused by covid-19, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) released today.

In total, 416,949 lives have been lost to the disease since the beginning of the pandemic. The Conass survey, which compiles data from the health secretariats of the 26 states and the Federal District, also indicated 73,380 new cases of covid-19 in 24 hours, with a total of 15,003,563 records since the beginning of the pandemic.
