Brazil records less than 900 deaths per day for first time in two months (May 10)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil, one of the countries hardest hit by the covid epidemic in the world, recorded 889 deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours, bringing the daily number of deaths below 900 for the first time in just over two months, the government reported on Monday.

The country had not registered less than 900 deaths per day since March 1, when 778 deaths were recorded. Before the second wave of Covid-19, more virulent and lethal than the first, significantly increased the country's number of deaths and cases.
