RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In the last 24 hours, 18,824 new cases were confirmed, the lowest number since January. There have been 765 deaths from Covid-19 in Brazil, The total number of Covid fatalities now stands at 534,311.
The average number of new cases per day was 44,705, a 31 percent decrease from the average two weeks ago. This average is down more than 20 percent per day since June 30.
In terms of the average number of deaths, the number dropped 19% in two weeks. On average, there are 1,297 deaths per day.
The average number of deaths has been declining since the end of last month but is still at considerable levels.
