RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil reported 1,639 new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease in the country to 530,179, the Health Ministry said.

The Brazilian state most affected by Covid-19 in absolute terms, São Paulo, reached on Thursday the marks of 3,838,564 cases and 131,478 deaths.
