Brazil registers over 1,000 Covid-19 deaths for 4th straight day (February 12th)

Yesterday, the average number of covid-19 deaths stood at 1,068 - it is the 23rd straight day with figures above a thousand. This is now the second longest period in which Brazil has averaged over 1,000 victims throughout the pandemic.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil has recorded over 1,000 daily deaths from Covid-19 for the fourth straight day. In 24 hours, 1,204 new deaths were reported, raising the total number of deaths during the pandemic to 237,601.

The survey is based on data supplied by state health secretariats. Ceará was the only state that failed to provide updated data by the closing of the report, at 8 PM.
