RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Ministry of Health’s update released on Friday, Otober 30th, shows that that there are now a total of 159,477 Covid-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The information is consolidated based on data from the state Health Secretariats.

In 24 hours, since the disclosure of Thursday’s report until Friday’s data, 508 deaths were recorded. There are currently 2,300 deaths still under investigation.

The states with the highest number of deaths are São Paulo (39,255), Rio de Janeiro (20,565), Ceará (9,337), Minas Gerais (8,962), and Pernambuco (8,609). The states with fewest deaths are Acre and Roraima (692), Amapá (747), Tocantins (1,097), and Rondônia (1,455).
