Brazil now has 43% of its population innoculated with at least one Covid vaccine dose (July 20)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil on Tuesday, July 20, reached the figure of 91,085,077 people vaccinated with at least one dose against Covid-19, equivalent to 43.01% of the country’s population.

In the past 24 hours, 1,615,389 doses of anti-Covid vaccines were administered in the country. In total, 1,058,796 people were administered the first dose, 480,662 received booster doses, and another 75,931 were immunized with a single-dose vaccine, represented in Brazil by Janssen’s immunizer.

The data were collected by the media outlet consortium from health secretariats in 26 states and the Federal District.

In proportional terms, Mato Grosso do Sul is the state that has administered the most second shots or single doses, with 29.46% of its population fully immunized. São Paulo has 51.54% of its population partially immunized and has administered the highest number of first doses.
