Brazil’s Butantan institute delivers another 1 million Covid-19 vaccine doses

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On May 12, Butantan Institute delivered another 1 million doses of the vaccine against the novel coronavirus to the National Immunization Program (PNI).

With this delivery, Butantan totals 46.112 million doses provided to the Ministry of Health since the start of this year and fulfills the first contract signed in January with the federal government.

According to the government of São Paulo, next Friday, May 14, the delivery of the 54 million doses established in the second contract will begin. The first batch will consist of 1.1 million doses.
