Rio City Hall Fines 11 Bars and Restaurants in Leblon Neighborhood for Crowding

The fines were enforced in inspection operations between Friday night and Sunday morning. Street vendors are also the target of inspections in the South Zone.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Dias Ferreira Street, in Leblon, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, continues to disregard health regulations to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. This weekend, the City Hall fined 11 different food and beverage establishments located on the popular night life road.

The fines for crowding and operation in violation of Covid-19 prevention regulations were imposed by the Municipal Public Order Secretariat (SEOP) between Friday night and Sunday morning.
