RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Colombia added this Sunday 15,093 new infections and 520 deaths due to covid-19, bringing to 3,118,426 the number of people contracted the disease and 81,300 the number of deaths caused by the pandemic in the country.
According to the Ministry of Health report, 109,250 cases remain active in the country, corresponding to 3.5%, and 2,917,548 patients appear as recovered, that is, 93.55% of the total.
FIGURES OF THE DAY
Of the total number of deaths reported today, of which 469 correspond to previous days, the highest number was in Bogotá with 87, followed by the departments of Atlántico (65), Antioquia (55), Cundinamarca (51), Valle del Cauca (43) and Santander (40).
In terms of infections, the highest numbers are in Bogotá (5,570), Antioquia (1,857), Santander (1,273), Atlántico (1,257), Valle del Cauca (1,165) and Cundinamarca (877).
The highest number of accumulated infections were in Bogotá (867,546), Antioquia (505,388), Atlántico (259,283), Valle del Cauca (252,715), Cundinamarca (142,710) and Santander (117,915).
In the country, 61,558 samples were processed today, 38,812 of which were PCR samples and another 22,746 antigen samples, for a total of 15.92 million tests performed.
Likewise, covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Colombia, of which 2,822,391 correspond to second doses.
