Of this total, three percent of cases resulted in death (142,058); 10.9 percent of patients are under treatment (519,224); and 86.1 percent of Brazilians who contracted Covid-19 have recovered (4,084,182).
In the past 24 hours, 317 deaths and 13,155 new cases were registered. The number of cases is typically lower on Sundays and Mondays due to the constraints on feeding the database by the Health Secretariat teams. On Tuesdays, the figure has been higher due to the sending of data accumulated over the weekend.
Health authorities are still investigating if another 2,533 deaths were caused by coronavirus.
