Covid-19: Brazil Counts Over 98 Thousand Deaths and 2.9 Million Cases (August 6th)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Ministry of Health's daily report released yesterday, August 6th, totaled 98,493 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Since Wednesday, 1,237 deaths have been recorded by local Health Secretariats. On Wednesday, August 5th, the system recorded 97,256 fatalities. There are currently 3,544 deaths under investigation.

The cumulative number of cases of the disease reached 2,912,212. In the past 24 hours, the body's panel was notified of 53,139 new cases by local health authorities. By Wednesday, the portfolio had counted 2,859,073 infections since the start . . .
