The data are included in the Ministry of Health’s daily balance, released on Thursday night, November 5th. The update is based on information on deaths and cases reported by state Health Secretariats.

The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus since the start of the pandemic now totals 5,612,319. Between Wednesday and Thursday, 22,294 new positive diagnoses for the disease were notified by the state health authorities.

The balance did not include new patients under follow-up, maintaining the data from the preceding day – 364,575. The same is true for people who have recovered from the disease, totaling 5,064,344. The Ministry’s explanation is that there were updating issues due to the collapse of internal systems yesterday.
