Covid-19: Brazil Records 24,800 New Cases and 497 Deaths in 24 Hours (October 22nd)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Health authorities have reported 24,858 new cases and another 497 deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours. The data were collected by the state health secretariats and included in the Ministry of Health's daily update released on Thursday, October 22nd.

With the increase, the country reached 155,900 deaths caused by the novel coronavirus. There are still 2,408 deaths under investigation.

The number of cases since the start of the pandemic has reached 5,323,630. Up to Wednesday, the Ministry of Health's system had recorded 5,298,772 cumulative cases of . . .
