RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The balance released by the Ministry of Health (MS) on October 4th, shows 8,456 new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. There are now 4,915,289 cases since the start of the pandemic. A total of 365 new deaths were recorded, totaling 146,352 fatalities. To date, 4,263,208 Brazilians (86.7 percent) have recovered from the disease.
