RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The number of cumulative cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in Brazil reached 6,290,272, an increase of 51,922 infections registered in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health, as updated on Saturday, November 28th.

Deaths resulting from the novel coronavirus pandemic rose to 172,561. The Ministry registered 587 new fatalities. There are a further 2,177 deaths under investigation.
According to the Ministry’s update, there are 555,172 patients under follow-up. A further 5,562,539 people have already recovered from the disease.

The states with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths are São Paulo (42,048), Rio de Janeiro (22,539), Minas Gerais (9,990), Ceará (9,598) and Pernambuco (9,019).
The states with the lowest number of deaths from the disease are Acre (723), Roraima (727), Amapá (806), Tocantins (1,160), and Rondônia (1,553).
