Covid-19: São Paulo Could Have 20,000 Deaths by End June

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - By the end of June, the state of São Paulo may total 20,000 deaths from the novel coronavirus, according to the Coronavirus Contingency Center in São Paulo. "The projection is for 20,000 deaths by the end of this month, ranging from 16,000 to 22,000, with an average isolation rate of 50 percent," said the Center's coordinator, Carlos Carvalho.

The state has recorded 9,862 coronavirus deaths to date. On Wednesday, June 10th, the number of confirmed cases totaled 156,316 throughout the state.
