Mexico adds 57 new Covid-19 deaths on Sunday, lowest in 12 months

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Mexico added 57 new Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, the lowest figure in a single day since May 2020, bringing the cumulative total to 218,985 deaths, the Health Ministry reported Sunday.

Health authorities also counted 1,175 new infections in their daily technical report on the incidence of the coronavirus, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 2,365,792.

According to Johns Hopkins University, with these data, Mexico is the country in the world with the fourth-most deaths due to Covid-19, behind the United States, Brazil, and India, and . . .
