Rio State Government Takes Over Management of Seven Field Hospitals

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Rio de Janeiro state government has decided to take over the management of the seven state field hospitals being prepared to attend to Covid-19 patients.

They were being managed by the NGO Iabas - Institute of Basic and Advanced Health Care. With the decision, the institution will be relieved from the administration of these units.

The decision was based on delays in setting up the hospitals and on the social organization's management shortcomings.
