Rio Mayor Announces Quarantine Relaxation Starting Monday

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through Mayor Marcelo Crivella, announced a plan to reopen several activities in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

In the first stage of the process, which is expected to start on Monday, June 1st, services with "greater economic importance" will be released. In other words, commercial business.

In addition, people will also be allowed to walk in parks, squares, and, particularly, on the beaches - only on sidewalks for physical activities and the sea for water sports; no sunbathing on the sand.

The restart plan will be implemented in six stages . . .
