São Paulo announces vaccination posts in public transportation stations
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The government of São Paulo today, May 12, announced that it will expand the number of vaccination posts against Covid-19 in the capital city of São Paulo. The posts will be installed in stations of the subway (Metrô), the São Paulo Metropolitan Train Company (CPTM) and the Metropolitan Company of Urban Transportation (EMTU).

From tomorrow, May 13, people eligible for immunization may be vaccinated in four CPTM stations: Guaianases (Line 11-Coral), São Miguel Paulista, Jardim Helena-Vila Mara and Itaim Paulista, on Line 12-Safira. Innoculation stations will also be available at the Corinthians-Itaquera station (Line 3-Vermelha of the Metrô) and at EMTU’s São Mateus Bus Terminal. They will operate from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
As of May 17, vaccination will also be available at República, Pinheiros and Butantã Metrô stations, on subway Line 4-Yellow. To expedite the service on vaccination day, pre-registration on the state government website “Vacina Já” – vacinaja.sp.gov.br – is recommended. Full name, CPF (individual taxpayer registry id), date of birth, complete address, and phone number are required.
Vaccination
People aged 45 to 49 with comorbidities can be vaccinated against Covid-19 starting May 21. The information was released today, May 12, by the São Paulo state government.
On the same day, people with permanent disabilities in this same age group (45-49 years old) who are registered to collect the Continuous Cash Benefit of Social Assistance (BPC) will be vaccinated.
The São Paulo state government expects to vaccinate 670,000 people aged 45-49 with comorbidities and another 25,000 people with permanent disabilities who benefit from BPC.
When going to the health center, any person with comorbidities who is part of the age groups previously announced must present proof of risk condition by means of exams, prescriptions, medical report or prescription. Previously existing registrations in Basic Health Units (BHU) can also be used.
For their part, people with permanent disabilities need to present proof of receipt of the Continuous Cash Benefit of Social Assistance (BPC).
