Uruguay and Argentina overtake Brazil in proportional Covid-19 vaccination ranking

Brazil remains 5th placed in the world ranking of doses administered, but is only 60th in the survey proportional to the population. Chile continues as an example in Latin America.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Uruguay and Argentina have overtaken Brazil in the ranking of vaccination against Covid-19 proportional to population, according to Our World in Data. Uruguay has administered 9.91 doses per 100 inhabitants so far, against Argentina's 6.95 and Brazil's 6.64.

Uruguay started its vaccination much later than its neighbors, on February 27th, but surpassed Argentina on March 10th, and Brazil two days later.
