RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Uruguay broke the record of coronavirus deaths on Thursday, April 15, with 79 fatalities registered, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,726, according to the latest balance of the National Emergency System (Sinae).
This is the highest number of daily deaths, after the country reached 71 deaths in one day last Monday.
In addition, the country added this Thursday 4,412 new cases of Covid-19 after 18,835 PCR tests were carried out and reached 32,136 active cases, 508 of whom were admitted to intensive care centers.
