Drivers in São Paulo Suspected of “Hosting” Other Drivers’ Fines for Money

DETRAN identified four driver's licenses in the city of Campinas, São Paulo, linked to the scheme. One license has 4,500 points, and another shows 614 points. This practice is a crime.

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - With 4,500 points, a Brazilian national driver's license (CNH) from Campinas (São Paulo) drew the attention of the State Traffic Department (Detran.SP) during investigations into the so-called "hosting" of fines, where people accept taking points for violations in exchange for money.
