RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Facebook has paid hundreds of outsourced workers to transcribe audio chat clips from Messenger users, Bloomberg reported.
According to the report, the staff became suspicious when the origin of the records was not clarified. The outsourced staff would retranscribe the conversations to understand whether the artificial intelligence tool was correctly interpreting the messages.
The company states that this practice only involved users who had chosen to have their voice calls transcribed.
