Small Aircraft Crashes in Belo Horizonte; Crew Uninjured

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - A single-engine aircraft crashed on Saturday morning, May 23rd, in the area of Carlos Prates Airport in Belo Horizonte. The airport does not host regular airline operations, mainly serving small aircraft.

According to the Minas Gerais Fire Department, the two crew members were not injured. There are no recorded casualties at the crash site.

The aircraft was part of an air taxi service. According to the fire department, it crashed during takeoff, so the pilot decided to attempt a forced landing.

The crash occurred in a wooded area. No homes or buildings in the surrounding . . .
