RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The 'Alerta Rio' ("Rio Alert") system recorded 16.2ºC at 1:35 AM on Sunday in Alto da Boa Vista. This is the lowest temperature for a summer in five years, according to the service's measurements - linked to the city hall.
Until then, the lowest record in the city occurred on February 4th, 2018, at 5:30 AM: 17.4ºC, also in Alto da Boa Vista.
The temperature data from Alerta Rio began to be cataloged in June 2014.
