RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The National Federation of Automotive Distribution (FENABRAVE) released the first sales report for 2020, for the month of January.
In January, Chevrolet placed two models at the top of the list. Onix and Onix Plus ranked first and second, respectively.
Onix sold 17,463 units in January. Onix Plus, the sedan version of the model’s new generation, registered 8,722 new vehicle plates in the same period.
The Ford Ka was the third best-selling car, after selling 7,334 in the month. Renault’s Kwid and Hyundai HB20 complete the top five. The Renault model shipped 6,739 models in January, while the Hyundai hatch sold 6,555 vehicles in the period.
In total, 298,000 vehicles were sold in the country in January, considering cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses representing a 3.2 percent drop compared to January 2019.
