RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – After the Americans asked their citizens a few days ago to leave Brazil immediately, the British are also reacting.
The UK Ambassador to Brazil, Vijay Rangarajan, asked that British citizens traveling in the country immediately return to the homeland.
According to a statement from the Embassy, direct commercial flights to the UK have been suspended since April 3rd, but there are still some flight options on routes through the US and other European countries.
In a message posted on Twitter, Rangarajan said tourists should look for these flights urgently, as the Embassy has no plans to charter aircraft. British citizens who need help returning to the country can fill out a form on the following link.
