Brazilian minister announces plan to fight feminicide in March

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Damares Alves, Minister of Women, Family and Human Rights, talked about her portfolio's main achievements in the year 2021 and this year's plans on the Brasil em Pauta show on TV Brasil.

Among the news are the stepping up of the fight against violence toward women, with the implementation of the Plan to Fight Feminicide, planned for early March. According to Damares Alves, last year alone, the "Ligue 180" hotline registered a 39% increase in the number of reports of violence against women.
