Brazil’s Vale, Ambev, Santander, TC and Armac IPO’s results out this week

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – B3 São Paulo stock exchange will have a full week with Q2 results season picking up and IPO filings and debuts of at least 7 companies over the coming days: Armac, TC (ex-TradersClub), Brisanet, Unifique, Clearsale, AgroGalaxy and Livetech.

Vale (VALE3) on Wednesday, July 28, will release its Q2 results after failing to meet analysts’ estimates for iron ore production and discontinuing guidance for nickel production last week. Other companies, like Gol (GOLL4), TIM Brasil (TIMS3), Santander Brasil (SANB11) and GPA (PCAR3), will also announce their data this week.

Corporate market’s upcoming agenda:

Monday, July 26: Expected debut of AgroGalaxy (AGXY3) and Livetech da Bahia (LVTC3) shares on B3;
Price per share setting in Armac and TC (ex-TradersClub) IPO;
TIM Brasil and EDP Energias do Brasil announce quarterly results;

Tuesday, July 27: Brisanet’s IPO to set price per share;
Expected Unifique’s shares debut on B3;

Expected debut of Armac’s shares and Traders Club;

Thursday, July 29: Brisanet’s shares are set to debut on B3;
Ambev, Gol, EcoRodovias, Localiza, CTEEP, Fleury and Cesp report quarterly results;
Friday, July 30: Clearsale’s shares are expected to be released on B3;
Alpargatas and Usiminas report quarterly performance.

JSL’s plan after Tegma

After having its business combination proposal rejected by Tegma (TGMA3), the question is what JSL’s next steps will be. The company said that the logistics sector in Brazil offers numerous opportunities and that it “will continue to execute its acquisition agenda,” some of which are currently being negotiated.

Samarco settlement still open

Samarco’s indemnity agreements for the Mariana dam accident have not yet been finalized. A letter of intent, signed in June, provided for negotiations to be finalized within 4 months. Any amount will be based on the civil suit brought on May 2, 2016, where the preliminary compensation was estimated at R$155 billion, said the Prosecutor’s Office.

Gerdau and Shell together in solar energy

Shell may make its first foray into solar energy in Brazil. The company has signed an agreement with Gerdau that may result in a joint venture to set up a solar farm. Part of the energy generated will be supplied to Gerdau’s steel mills and part will be sold on the open market.

Is Viveo resuming IPO?

The medical equipment and medication distributor Viveo, controlled by DNA Capital, has resumed plans to hold its initial public offering, according to people familiar with the matter. The company is considering relaunching the offering in August or September, the people said, requesting anonymity as the information is not public.
