Exports from Paraguay up 28% through July 2021

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In the first seven months of the year, Paraguay’s industrial exports totaled US$2.816 billion. According to a report released by the Strategic Intelligence Unit of the Paraguayan Industrial Union under the MSMEs Compete program supported by the European Union.

The figures show that Paraguayan exports increased by 28% compared to the same period last year, reaching a value of US$6.449 billion.

Total imports between January and July 2021 amount to US$6.7 billion, a 21% increase from 2020, when a total of US$5.5 billion was recorded.

The document also shows that industrial exports in July amounted to US$491 million, an increase of 29% compared to the same month last year.

Regarding industrial exports, it is reported that they amounted to US$491 million, which means an increase of 29% compared to July 2020.

Also noteworthy are the operations of products of agricultural origin, which amounted to US$391 million, representing a change of 35% year-on-year. In comparison, products of industrial origin (MOI) amounted to US$100 million, representing a change of 10% compared to July 2020.
