Federal Treasury Begins Second Round of Income Tax Refund Payments

The money will be deposited in the accounts reported in the statement. The refund will be available in the bank for one year.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Federal Treasury started to pay the second round of refunds of Personal Income Tax (IRPF) 2019 on Monday, July 15th, as well as residual refunds from 2008 to 2018.

R$5 billion (US$1.3 billion) will be deposited to 3,164,229 taxpayers. Of this total, R$2,362,514,597.42 refers to the restitution of 15,489 elderly taxpayers over 80 years old, 197,895 taxpayers between sixty and 79 years old, 24,793 taxpayers with some physical or mental disability or serious illness, and 1,251,906 taxpayers whose primary source . . .
