Motor Vehicle Sales in Brazil Rise 21.6 Percent in May

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The sale of new motor vehicles rose 21.6 percent in May, the association of dealerships, Fenabrave, reported on Monday, June 3rd.

A total of 245,466 automobiles, light commercial vehicles, trucks, and buses received new license plates in the period, against 201,864 units in the same month of 2018.

The monthly performance was the best in 2019 so far. Compared to April, when 231,939 vehicles were registered, the increase was 5.83 percent.
