Rolls-Royce to Build Factory in Rio de Janeiro: Daily

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – British company Rolls-Royce, known for its luxury vehicles, announced that it will build a factory for assembling not cars but naval equipment in Rio de Janeiro. The venture is reported to cost somewhere in the region of R$80 million and will be responsible for producing propellers and other equipment for use on oil rigs and drill ships.

The plant is expected to be installed this May on a 27,000 square meter area in Duque de Caxias, 20km north of Rio. The marine base will serve as a factory . . .
