DJ Alok Delivers Speech on Love at Rock in Rio and Audience Attacks Bolsonaro
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – DJ Alok was the first attraction on the World stage of Rock in Rio festival yesterday, September 27th, the opening day of the 2019 edition. When giving a speech on love and tolerance, the crowd reacted and started shouting out against President Jair Bolsonaro.

“It’s like this: I wanted to sing something here for you. If you also believe that love is the way, that we should love our neighbor as if there were no tomorrow, shout out Rock in Rio. I know that it is often difficult to follow this path, it is not easy”, he said.
The audience reacted immediately by attacking President Jair Bolsonaro with cries of “Hey Bolsonaro, go f**k yourself”.
“But we will follow the path of love because it is in love that we find true happiness. And when it comes to love, you don’t have to go very far. You know very well what love is not. So, get rid of everything that is not love: violence, prejudice, wars, intolerance, and let love be all that’s left,” he continued.
Rock in Rio 2019 takes place on September 27th, 28th and 29th and October 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th, at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Park.
