Rio’s Galeão Airport Handled Over 1.6 Million Passengers in 29 Days

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Between August 24th and September 21st, more than 12,400 flights began or ended at Galeão, officially known as Tom Jobim International Airport; there was also a record for atypical traffic since the concessionaire began its administration in 2014.

During this period, in addition to planned landings and departures, there were 18 alternating flights and 44 transferred flights, all bound for Santos Dumont.
